As some of you may know, this website has been a work in progress over the past year, and it continues to be (like so many creative endeavors). Both of us have had a version of it bouncing around in our heads for quite some time. David, however, has had his vision of something like this for much longer than me. In fact, he's had a few online working renditions of the Creative Outlet since 1998. We've come a long way since then, in terms of technology and (for our part) skill, but the idea behind it is still the same.
I forget how long exactly we've been offline, but we're back now and happier for it. There are some new features in this version of our Creative Outlet, such as the Photo Stories, Digital/Graphic Art sections and the opportunity to buy some of our framed photos if something really strikes your fancy. We hope it does, but regardless we really look forward to sharing some of our more favorite photos and projects with you. All of these new site features will be working in the short-term as David tackles it section by section.
Now, in an ideal world David and I would travel around to all these incredible places that are known for their unique geological formations, natural beauty, fascinating peoples and cultures, historic relevance and everything else that draws us to travel near and far. And then (yes, I began a sentence with a conjugation) we would photograph our journeys and somehow make a living from it…that is, in an ideal world. Unfortunately, we're just not living there yet. Some day we will, but in the meanwhile we both work in academia by day and continue to dream by night.
We really hope you enjoy yourself as you stroll through the galleries, and we would value your constructive feedback or questions. So take your time, enjoy your stay and don't be stranger.
